So it has come to this...

Yesterday, after having been disappointed for the umpteenth time by my employer, who has failed once again to source funding to pay me the mammoth amount of back-pay they owe me, I decided to tell them I was going to take legal action.

Yep, they owe me money from August last year. That's 9 months. Sure I am only a contract and not a permanent employee. Sure I did not expect full-time employment once the BFS was completed until we found finance and the project was ready to move forward - I knew this last year would be slow. I was ready for that.

But the management of the company got us $2 million in debt, and the board, despite having authorised this work, won't put in any more money to pay it back. We are a private company, they are individual people. They have an obligation.

I am not sad to be leaving KL. I think it has just about reached its use-by date and the way this country is being run, it is getting to become a less attractive place to be by the day. There will be major problems here in a few years, I guarantee it. But it is the manner in which we are being forced to leave that sucks. The fact that we have had to burn through all our savings and liquidate-able investments over the last year, with promise after promise of funding, and yet nothing. Sweet. Fuck. All.

Well fuck you my employer, fuck you. You will pay.
