I was just reading the news, specifically an article about a judge blasting a roomful of drunk drivers. After the detail about those cases, the article then, as nonchalant as you like, said this: What
"Aside from the shocking number of drink-driving offences mentioned in the court, a cocaine dealer avoided jail and a 23-year-old student copped a $5000 fine for skipping jury duty with a fraudulent doctor’s certificate."
What THE ACTUAL FUCK? Ok making a fraudulent doctor's certificate is a no-no and avoiding jury duty is frowned upon, but a $5k fine when a drug dealer - and serious drugs here too, not dope - walks free? You've got to be kidding me. What the frigging hell is wrong with this country? Our legal system is a complete and utter fucking joke. This is not the first time I have thought this - and many many others agree. We are a bloody laughing stock.
Bring back the bloody death penalty.
