Well I figured it was time to write something - I have been keen to for ages, but it just hasn't happened. Between being busy in my new expanded role at work, doing lots of noodling and selling of coins, and trying to win Civ6 on deity difficulty and with ludicrous raging barbs, I haven't had a whole lot of spare time. Throw onto that still doing stuff on eBay, of course spending time with my family and just life in general, and yeah, alas the blog has suffered. I realised this morning that I hadn't posted in all of March, so I'll get at least one done today, to go with the solitary post in February. Dammit, I have so much to say, and yet it is so difficult to find the time. BUT, I may have the solution. Due to (or perhaps thanks to) the coronavirus, I am working from home most of the time, for at least the next few weeks and perhaps beyond. So given the way I usually work, finding a bit of time here and there to blog shouldn't be too taxing. In fact I have set myself a goal of 21 posts this week. Lofty ambitions I know, given I stand at 6 posts YTD, but hey, one needs to challenge oneself!
The family seem to be going ok. We are homebodies at the best of times, so nobody is really feeling the strain of this semi lockdown situation. Right, I have now switched computers. My own laptop is quite chunky, and despite the fact I had used it to write for years until early 2018, I am now used to a much thinner laptop and how my wrists sit across the base of it while typing. So this work laptop is much more comfortable. I have them set up side by side while I'm working at home. So yeah, wifey and the knucks are all well, and we are watching with interest to see how this all unfolds. We finally got a little input from Centrelink, which while small, is welcome, and helps with the kids side of the bills at least. We have also decided to stop Kumon at the end of April, as it has largely done it's job, and frankly the kids are getting a little tired of school outside school too. Mind you, if we are to do online education, perhaps it will still be useful. It was certainly a blessing in the four months we were living in Sungai Pelek.
Right, well enough for now. Got plenty to do work-wise this afternoon, and will also try to get a few old drafts closer to publishing. Keen to keep this blog and my story, moving!
